Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMADELON AGNES ADAMS Surrounded by family Madelon Agnes Adams passed away on Sunday, November 23, 2014 at Fred Douglas Lodge, Evergreen Unit, at the age of 99. Madelon was predeceased by her loving husband Les, of 60 years, in 1999 and was the last surviving member of a family of ten. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Wendy (Peter) and Jack (Brenda); grandchildren, Emily, Karissa (Randy), Meredith (Donnie), Kevin, Idajane, Lita, Raeanne and the many children that called her Grandma; great-grandchildren, Bailey, Nikolas, Max, Peyton, Brett and Amélie. First and foremost Madelon was a loving and devoted wife and mother. Madelon was a longtime member of Shaughnessy United Church. She came to Shaughnessy a year after it was first formed and was a staunch supporter of the Church in service and promotion of activities. Madelon was a Sunday School teacher, secretary, helped with all phases of midweek group; and was a life member of UCW with over 35 years of devoted service. There was no task too big or small for her to accomplish. She was also very active and community minded working as zone leaders for the United Way, Cancer and Heart Foundation and volunteering at the local Community Club. In later years Madelon's greatest joy was family gatherings surrounded by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. We were blessed with a strong and willful mother who taught us to live, laugh and be strong by the strength with which she lived her life. My First Christmas in Heaven: I see the countless Christmas Trees around the world below With tiny lights, lie in Heaven's stars, reflecting on the snow The sight is so spectacular please wipe away the tear For I am spending Christmas with Jesus this year Memorial service was held on Friday, November 28, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue. Was skimming through the obituaries and saw the pictures at the end. She was already an angel and now she gets to rest for a while before working again. My Lord she is beautiful!!!!! - Posted by: Gini (none) on: Dec 02, 2014

My sincerest sympathies on the loss of your Mother, Grandmother, and Great-grandmother. Madelon was always as cute as a button, quick with her sweet smile and a kind word. I always enjoyed chatting with her, she was my most favorite of all my great aunts. I will light a candle and toast you on what would have been your 100th Birthday. Rest in peace, sweet Aunt Mad. - Posted by: Valerie Brown (Great Niece) on: Nov 29, 2014

Fond memories of Madelon while growing up with Jack......she was a wonderful woman who always saw the good in everyone.
