ROBERT (BOB) SNYDER June 16, 1941 - November 25, 2014 Bob passed away peacefully Tuesday, November 25, 2014 at the Victoria General Hospital. He was predeceased by his parents and is survived by his loving partner Caroline Tetrault, sister Sadie Plett, nieces, nephews and grandchildren. Bob was born in Morden, MB. After high school Bob began his career with a trucking company and continued trucking until retirement. Bob met Caroline who was the love of his life. In 1990 they became a happy couple. His hobbies were reading, watching documentaries and keeping up with current events. In early retirement, his eyes always lit up when the grandchildren arrived. He could come across as a tough grizzly bear but was really a teddy bear. He enjoyed talking to the local people and was a friendly soul. Cremation has taken place. A close family memorial will be held at a later date. A special thank you to the caring doctors and staff in Intensive Care at the Victoria General Hospital.

Condolences & Memories (2 entries)

  • My most memorable memory of Bob was a visit to him and his mom when they lived in Morden, I was twelve, he would have been eleven. I took the train from Deloraine to Morden and was met by Bobby at the station in Morden. Bobby introduced me to my first infatuation, Jo Ann Weidle. The two of us raided the neighbors pea patch and were severely reprimanded for our efforts, we were two frightened little boys, but the peas were good. I last saw Bob at the family reunion, and do remember all Bob did was talk about his pride and joy, the big truck he had just purchased, that was the last time I saw Bob. I have spent most of my life on the west coast, and have three grandchildren where Bob's Mom on occasion went to pick apples. Happy trucking Bobby!!You have gone from this world but not forgotten. Your cousin Johnny Wiebe. PS say hi to your Mom for me Bobby! I wish all of Bobby's and my relatives the best Johnny Wiebe - Posted by: John Robert Wiebe ( Johnny) (Cousin My mother, Susan Wiebe ( Neufeld) and Bob's mom were sisters) on: Dec 03, 2014
