I started working at Canada Packers in 1969. I was 19 years old, very shy and very afraid of everything. I met Mina when I moved to the chicken cut up line after about six months. She was a wonderful person and we worked side by side for almost eight years. I traveled and went camping with her and Ben several times a few summers. Ben was a very special person and loved Mina very much. They taught me (as a couple) how to enjoy life together. And what a good marriage should look like. We went to many work functions together and always had fun. I loved her like a sister. Unfortunately after my daughter was born I quit packers and due to a possessive and jealous husband, didn't see her for many years, we did speak on the phone on occasion. After my divorce I tried getting in touch with her but could not find her. I remarried and moved to Charleswood where I bumped into her and was very happy. We stayed in touch until she moved somewhere and I didn't hear from her. I am very sad to hear of her passing, I know we don't live forever but I would have liked to attend her funeral.
