Condolences & Memories (4 entries)

  • Rob was an adventurer with a heart of gold. I enjoyed my time with him in northern Manitoba in the winter of '94, (I still have the winter boots he bought me during that trip!) He graced Catherine and I with a visit to our home in the Netherlands a few years later. We remember Rob with fondness, and are saddened by the news of his passing. - Posted by: Erwin Wittenberg (Friend) on: Jan 08, 2015

  • I was saddened today to learn of Rob's passing last November. It brought back lovely memories of his gregarious and warm nature. He was a good friend to all, and I am honored to count myself among those he shared his time with. I offer heartfelt condolences to his loved ones. - Posted by: Martha Ross (Friend from the 90's camp-fires !) on: Jan 05, 2015

  • Bob was a gifted multi instrument musician who played keyboards, harmonica and guitar in a couple of bands (the Dilly Band and The Pheasant Pluckers) with me back in the 1980s - 90s. He was always fun to be around and had an endless supply of jokes that he loved to tell. Although I didn't talk to him lately, I thought about him often. Condolences to his family. Good Bye Friend. - Posted by: Craig Vallance (Friend & Bandmate) on: Dec 04, 2014

  • I will cherish and miss all the good memories of family time and christmases passed. Uncle Rob was always a bright light. He had a sharp wit, a fun sense of humour and was a charismatic storyteller. Rest in peace uncle Rob, I wish you safe travels on your journey home... - Posted by: Lisa Gardner (Niece) on: Dec 03, 2014
