LEONA LYNN GRAPKO Leona Lynn Grapko passed away quickly and peacefully on November 26, 2014 at the Jocelyn House Hospice at the young age of 58. She was surrounded by ones who loved and cared for her deeply. She was born on May 26, 1956 in Winnipeg, MB. She was an amazing woman, mother, daughter, aunt, cousin and friend. She was a hard working single parent and devoted her time in doing what's right and taking care of her family. She enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, loved to laugh and always thought about other people's needs ahead of her own. She created wonderful memories of her travels with her loved ones. Her qualities of kindness, humility, humour, selflessness, generosity, patience and love are so clearly evident. Her infectious giggles and laughs always lit up any room. She was a strong woman. Her decisions regarding her health treatment towards the end of her life reflected her beliefs she has always had inside her. Leona leaves to mourn two daughters Sarina (Gavin) and Amberr, siblings Dawn, Dee (predeceased), Virginia, Wally, Vicky and Rick and two beautiful grandchildren, Matthew and Madisyn. Leona was predeceased by her parents Lois and Jake Toews. During Leona's stay at Jocelyn House, her daughter would often ask, "Do you know how much I love you?" "More than life itself" Mom would reply. Thank you to all the staff at Jocelyn House who always treated Leona with such dignity, love and respect. In lieu of flowers, any contributions towards Jocelyn House will be most beneficial. There with be a private celebration of Leona's life on Saturday December 6, 2014. "Life is too short to be unhappy"
