As new Canadians in 1952, our family were given the greatest blessing to have been led to Deloraine, MB, and there to have met the Harvey family, who have for a lifetime had an enormous presence and a profound feeling of gratitude in the Nygard family's hearts and minds. Oh if all new Canadians would only meet a "Harvey family" to help give roots to their new land!! Jean was a gentle, beautiful, brilliant mother to her children; wife to a very dynamic man of God, the late Rev Ian Harvey, and a friend to most anyone with whom she had contact...including our family. Her table always had room for a few more..and many received assurance and comfort as she shared in their joys and sorrows....Thank you God for having placed Jean Harvey on to the earth to contribute so much, so deeply to the mosaic of our lives!! Our thoughts and prayers are with all the Harvey children and their families at this difficult time...
