Please accept my deepest condolences and know that I share the sadness for your loss. Doug's been a friend since after we both graduated from the same term at Red River Community College in around 1983. There was an opening at work after being there a few years and I hoped he would get the job, put in a good word, and we worked at Carte ever since. Doug has been two desks away from me for as long as I can remember. We've talked many times, mostly about mechanical things, how to fix things and home repairs. We've also shared some good humor too, Doug had a good sense of humor. His advice has always been good and has helped me many times. Doug has often mentioned Taylor and Megan and I always liked how he brightened up every time he did. He would often look at their work that he found on the internet and the happiness and pride that he felt every time he did was always clear because I could hear it in his voice and see it in his face. Doug more than loved Megan and Taylor; he also worked a full day job and he worked late into every evening and weekends for his entire life. I know he loved you both because he told me it was all for both of you. I wanted to tell you because I couldn't keep something so dear that belongs to you, to myself. - Posted by: Peter Pohorily (Friend and colleague) on: Dec 05, 2014

On behalf of all the 300 plus employees of Carte I would like to send our condolences to all of Doug's family and relatives. I worked with Doug for 28 years at Carte International Inc. Doug was a good, hard working and loyal person with an exceptional mechanical skillset. He was a key employee at Carte and our entire Team at Carte will greatly miss Doug. - Posted by: Brian Klaponski (President of Carte International and a Colleague) on: Dec 05, 2014

Our sincere condolences to Doug's family and friends on this sudden and tragic loss. Doug was a kind soul, and although he was usually very quiet he had an ever-present and infectious smile and a keen sense of humour that will be sadly missed. Doug's technical talents were prodigious and he had a natural bent towards computer programming. - Posted by: James and Carolyn Cross (Former Colleague) on: Dec 04, 2014
