NEIL RANKINE On November 29, 2014, Neil C. Rankine passed away at the age of 78 years at the Gimli Community Health Center. He leaves behind to mourn his passing his beloved wife of 55 years, Rose Marie (nee Schappert). During their 55 years together they had four children and seven grandchildren. In particular and by his side to the end were his daughter Diana (David) and son Brian (Patti) and four grandsons, Anthony Scalizzi and Matthew, Alan and Michael Rankine. He will be sadly missed, but lovingly remembered. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Gilbart Funeral Home, Gimli in care of arrangements www.gilbartfuneralhome.com

I was just talking to Shirley Woods and we were remembering old neighbours on Kirby. I'll remember Neil Rankine as a warm, friendly neighbour with a twinkle in his eye and a golf cart in his white station wagon. My condolences to all of the family. My husband Keith and I were acquainted with Neil through many of our years in the pharmacy business. He was a genial man who provided great service and a lot of humour in our dealings together.
