Doreen was a huge part of my childhood memories at Faith Lutheran Church, and I was so touched when she agreed to play the organ at our wedding. My maiden name was Barbara Buermeyer. I would like to pay tribute to Doreen and send my condolences to the Thomas family. - Posted by: Barbara Dayco (Faith Lutheran Church) on: Feb 22, 2015

Kletke cousins? We numbered in the dozens. But cousin Doreen stands out - as the special and valued chief operator of the family telephone party-line. Doreen kept the entire Kletke family informed; she was the one to phone with the latest news. Every large family appreciates and respects the "keeper of family history". We will all miss her strength, her talents and her years of dedication to keeping the Kletke clan connected. - Posted by: Jan Kushnier (cousin) on: Dec 05, 2014

At the age of 4 or so, I remember Doreen as the organist at Faith Lutheran. She would be up at the front sitting perfectly straight and began to play. I really thought that she was a special angel who played music for God....well she actually did! Later on in life we would have jam sessions together. Doreen on piano and me on sax. We would play jazz renditions of the old favourite hymns and perform mini concerts for others. She once gave me a badge to pin on my shirt. She giggled as she gave it to me as it said "the joy of sax". Great lady, great times. Fond memories Jeff Goossen - Posted by: Jeff Goossen (Friend of Faith) on: Dec 05, 2014

I remember when our family first moved into the neighborhood. Doreen was one of my first visitors. She brought some homemade jam and made us feel very welcome. My sincere condolences to you Jim and your family. You were a "perfect role model" in how to support and care for a loved one in a personal care environment. I didn't know Doreen before she lived at River Park Garden but watching you I could sense the great love you shared throughout your fifty plus years together. May God bless you and sustain you during this difficult time. - Posted by: Carol De Baets (River Park Gardens family member) on: Dec 03, 2014
