JO-ANNE MARGUERITE BILLETT (nee RONCATO) We are saddened to announce the passing of our wife, mom and grandma, Jo-Anne Billett, at West Park Manor in Winnipeg on December 2, 2014. She is survived by her husband Albert "Red", of 65 years, daughter Carol Billett, daughter-in-law Donna Billett, granddaughter Olivia Billett, sister Rosemarie Lebane, niece Deborah Lebane, and nephew Jeffrey Lebane. She was predeceased by her son Brent. Born in Winnipeg on May 18, 1926, Jo-Anne was always ready for adventure and new places to visit and live; that was a good thing! Albert and Jo-Anne were transferred and lived in several places throughout Albert's career with the R.C.M.P. Jo-Anne made a loving home and friends in the many places she lived (Winnipeg, Ottawa, Sprague, Thompson, Brandon, Dauphin) before finally settling in Winnipeg. Jo-Anne was active in church and community in all the places we lived. She believed that dedication of self, love, and compassion are the greatest gifts to receive and bestow. Among the many accomplishments of her life and second only to her family, music was her passion. Earning a music degree in the first quarter of her life, she taught piano and voice, directed choirs, sang as a soloist and in choral groups. She is singing with the Angels now. The family wants to thank the staff of West Park Manor for providing her with care and comfort during her final years. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, December 8, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue. Interment to follow.
