Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryFLORENCE PATRICIA BEER Florence Beer died peacefully on November 26, 2014 after complications following a stroke, at the age of 77 years. She will be missed by her family: son Donald Dempster and wife Patty Reimer of Winnipeg; sister Ethel Wiens of Winnipeg; brother Don and wife Nancy Lewis of Calgary; nieces Kim Lewis Buchholz and Kathie Welsh-Lewis, and nephew David Lewis along with their families; and by her much-loved cat Tiny. Florence had many friends and was involved in the community in many ways including St. Ignatius Church and the Good Food Club. A service is to be held at Crossways in Common at 12:00 noon on Monday, December 8. Donations on Florence's behalf will be gratefully accepted by the Winnipeg Pet Rescue Shelter.

I have been a friend of Florence for many years. She was a member of a ladies group which we called 'the church ladies' because we attended Mass together on Sundays and were always up for lunch or an afternoon coffee party after church. I also volunteered with Florence for many years at Mary Jane's Cooking School where we spent many happy hours together helping out.
