HELEN RUTH ROSSKOPH It is with sad hearts we announce the passing of Helen Ruth Rosskoph (nee Kaban), on Wednesday, December 3, 2014. Helen will be greatly missed by her best friend in the world, a Pomeranian named Miko. These two were inseparable, always together! Oh how she loved you little Miko Man! She leaves behind her children Glen, Wendy (Rod), Kelli (Rod). Her grandchildren, T-Jay (Ashley), Shandy, Mandy (Brendan), Karleigh (Johnny) Alanah and April. Great-grand-children, Trinity and Klayton. Her sisters, Eileen (Gordy), Elsie (Jeff) and brother Garry (Birgit). She was predeceased by her husband Neil Rosskoph and friend John Ciwko. Helen lived her entire 77 years in Transcona where she raised her family. She worked numerous jobs, from Eaton's in the early days to Revenue Canada until her retirement. Helen loved to travel whether it was the Caribbean or or being a snowbird spending winters in Mesa. Family was extremely important to her and she loved having them over where she could cook wonderful meals for them and spend time with her grandchildren. She had a passion for gardening. The flowers in her yard were always impeccable! She loved going to the lake, golfing, taking long walks and going for bike rides. She was a woman who couldn't sit and had to make sure nothing was out of place. Helen was a kind and gentle woman with a heart of gold and she shared it with many. We will miss the warmth of her smile which will be embraced in our hearts forever. Helen requested that no service be held. A celebration of her life will be held by her family. Cremation has taken place and interment will follow in the warmth of the summer where she will be reunited with her husband Neil. We would like to thank home care nurses Richard and Marlene, Diana from the ALS Society and the Palliative Care Unit at St. Boniface Hospital for their compassion. Helen has requested that in lieu of flower donations may be made to the Humane Society. Rest in peace Mom you will always be with us! • You were and still are the one special person in my life that I will always hold in my heart. I still think about you everyday even thought you passed a couple of years ago. I thought I should write this because you were truly a great person. You were loved by many and your kindness was infinite. You filled peoples souls with laughter, happiness and comfort. You made sure everyone was happy and loved all the time. I don’t think its too late to be writing this because you were such a sweet soul and you deserve to be remembered. You knew how to make a person feel safe and loved whether that person was your own blood or not. I wish I knew you longer than I had but you had a big impact on my life in such a small amount of time. I’ll never forget you and you will always cross my mind with every day that passes. I love you grandma. ❤️ - Posted by: April (Granddaughter) on: Apr 25, 2023

  • Just wanting to send along my condolences and fond memories of your lovely elegant Mom. She was a very warm and inclusive lady. Whenever I encountered her as a teenager she would take time and care to look me in the eye and engage me in conversation. Visits to the home on Allenby including new years, Ram Camps, at Baba Kaban's, it was always fun spending time with Rosskophs. - Posted by: Corinne Scott () on: Dec 17, 2014
