Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWENDY NORMA DOWNES On November 29, 2014, Wendy peacefully passed away at the age of 66. Wendy will be lovingly remembered by her sister Lorraine and nephew Jonathon. Wendy embraced life through her many interests. She was an avid reader who also enjoyed nature, bike riding, photography and genealogy. A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 8 at 11:00 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 45 Dalhousie Drive, Winnipeg. Wendy (or as I called her, “Dee”) was my nanny for over 10 years. I could not imagine what my life would be like without the experiences she gave me. We are truly sorry to hear this news. Wendy was my nanny for Hugh from birth till 4 yrs old. She truly loved him and loved all children. She took the bus, walked in from McGillivray. Never late and always reliable. She was devoted to her parents, and very excited when she became an auntie.
