First met and worked with Paul at Broadway & Donald store in doing holiday relief one summer and again when he has at Pembina & McGillivray. He was a good assistant manager as he backed up his workers under him. Managers tend to go off the handle when things go wrong and jump to conclusions. Paul took time to fully explain the problem to management and back up the staff under him. It was not a popular thing to do, but then it was the person Paul was. Sorry for your loss Norma, Paul was a very unique person that I admired. - Posted by: colin dederick (fellow Safeway worker) on: Dec 08, 2014

My heart goes out to you, Norma as you now embark on yet another path of this journey alone. My prayers are with you. It is a difficult road to travel, but with God's help it will make it just a little easier. I still remember with gratitude when you visited Dan in the care facility; he was so touched that you took the time to see him. May your precious memories of Paul sustain and comfort you. May he rest in peace, and may God bless you today and always. Doreen - Posted by: Doreen Marks (Second cousin by marriage (Daniel Marks)) on: Dec 08, 2014

Paul and I were altar servers in the days of Msgr. Zielonka and Father Jaworski. I remember whenever we would mess up as altar servers, the bigger guys would discipline us by twisting our ears. Ed Duke did that to Paul once and made him cry. I remember that. Paul was a gentle soul. I extend my condolences to his wife and loved ones. Blessings upon you at this time of grieving. May Paul rest in peace. - Posted by: Gerry Sobie (grew up in North End and attended St. John Cantius Church as altar servers together in the early 195) on: Dec 08, 2014
