Condolences & Memories (3 entries)

  • Grant was my uncle. I did not know him well but I will I will miss him dearly. I never knew my family that well but would like to one day. I'm sorry I never got to know you better. - Posted by: janine little (niece) on: Apr 29, 2015

  • My memories of Grant in Walter Whyte School was of a very smart kid academically and a very physically fit powerful person. I remember he used to lift weights quite often. I remember at a track and field meet in Selkirk he set the shot put record. Later in our teen years i remember many parties and social activities in his basement in Grand Marais and in the area. Grant was a very good host when myself and anyone went to visit him. He had many billiard parties and his mothers house was a social centre of the area. We lost touch over the years after he got married and settled down and moved away out of the area. I saw him occasionally and the last time was two years ago. I had told him I would be retiring in a couple years and hoped to see him at the lake. Will be sadly missed. - Posted by: bill wonnacott (old friend, school and later ,early years in Grand Beach) on: Feb 14, 2015

  • Grant would come into our 7-11 store at Regent and Plessis twice a day always to buy his wife an English toffee hot chocolate and we all would say, "wow what a nice guy!" As we got to know him better we would try to persuade him to buy some cookies from us, and each day he would smile and say "maybe tomorrow". I even tried to trick him by saying " your wife just called us and she wants you to bring her home some cookies". Grant was well liked by our staff and we will definitely miss him! Please find comfort in knowing we care. Grant, this one's for you. 🍪 - Posted by: Donna Aikman (Friend through 7-11 at Regent and Plessis) on: Jan 11, 2015
