My memories of Gerry were from my younger years. My mom and dad were on the train to Toronto for the 38th Grey cup with the team and spent time with Gerry. I was a 13 year old pallbearer at Uncle Adhemar's funeral. From time to time because my dad was also in the construction business, I did get to see Gerry. I always found him to be a real gentleman blessed with a sense of humour. At the time kids were supposed to be seen but not heard, but Gerry was very engaged and interested in us and what we had to say. The last time I saw Gerry and had a conversation with him was at my Aunt Aline Renouf's funeral. I hadn't seen him for at least 15 years and recognized him right away. His sense of "family" was very evident and I was very happy to see him. He will be missed Bert De Leeuw My Dad was Harry, son of Marcel, Adhemar's brother - Posted by: BERT DE LEEUW (My dad was Gerry's cousin) on: Dec 06, 2014
