Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryEDWARD JUZAK December 28, 1919 - November 27, 2014 Ed passed away peacefully on November 27, 2014, just shy of his 95th birthday. He will be greatly missed by his daughters Terry (Bob), Laurie (Don), granddaughters Shannon (Alex), Leanne (Dylan), great-grandchildren Briella and Felix, sister Virginia, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Ruth, brothers Frank (Lois) and Albert (Sylvia). Born and raised in Winnipeg, Ed loved his motorcycles and was an avid sportsman. During the Second World War, Ed served with the R.A.F. in India and Burma, flying his beloved Spitfires. He once made 10 Rupees by betting his CO that he could take his Spitfire off in less than 50 feet. He did. After the Second World War, he joined the Air Force reserves with the 402 Squadron in Winnipeg. As part of Winnipeg's 75th birthday celebrations, he led a flight down Portage to Main, flying level with the fifth floors of the buildings. Ed worked at Bristol Aerospace until his retirement and then spent many enjoyable years at the Winnipeg Aviation Museum, helping to build a Vickers Vedette from scratch. This volunteer work included everything from making drawings to producing thousands of hand-made copper nails. Ed could fix anything and he could build anything, from boats to planes. A lifetime member of the Winnipeg Trap and Skeet Club, he was shooting into his 90s. He moved to Edmonton in 2011 to be closer to his family. We will miss you very much "Boo", and you will stay in our hearts forever.

Hi Terry, I loved hearing the stories of the spitfires and seeing the pics he took over the time he served. It was a true honor to have known him and I was lucky to live beside him he was a great man and a Hero. I have so many wonderful memories of time spent with Uncle Ed. Duck hunting at Swan Lake; flying model aiplanes at the old model airfield on highway 59,; snowmobiling on Kilkenny Drive; Christmas get togethers at Aunt Ruth and Uncle Ed's on North Drive. I remember him helping me with an airplane Iwas trrying to build when my dad had lost patience. My thoughts and condolences are with you all Terry and Bob, Laurie and Don and families. - Posted by: John Wallis (Old family friend) on: Dec 06, 2014
