• We were shocked to read of Doug's sudden passing. We remember the happy times in Gimli Harbour, his great sense of humor and his devotion to you, Carol. He loved his boat and the boating community. He always waved to us as he cruised past us on his way in and out of the Harbour. We never knew Doug to be anything but happy with a great smile on his face. • I remember Doug as a boy and how awful it was when his dad died in the plane crash, Vi moved on with such courage and I can't imagine how hard it was for Doug. • Carol....Dave and I were so sorry to hear of the sudden passing of Doug. As a part of the "Alder Bay Gang", we grew up with the sense of "community-style family" which included you and Doug. His sense of humour and "glowing tan" will be forever remembered. You and Doug were such great friends with my mom and dad and I know they enjoyed all the time you spent together.
