DENIS ROBERT BEAUCHEMIN September 15, 1934 - December 6, 2014 It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Papa. Denis passed away very peacefully on the afternoon of December 6th, surrounded by family at the St. Boniface Hospital. Denis is survived by his beloved wife, Jeannine, of 60 years; his nine loving children Lise (Kevin), Denise (Louis), Lucille (Tom), Aline (Don), Reg (Karen), Léon, Marc (Carole), Daniel (Darlene) and Mimi (Dan); as well as his 20 grandchildren and seven great- grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his siblings Simone (late Jean Baptiste), Roméo (Jeane), and Dolorès (late Louis). Denis was predeceased by his twin sister Denise in infancy, his parents Joseph and Béatrice, his brother Lionel and his sister Lucille. On September 15, 1934, Denis was born in the family home on their farm in Ile-des-Chênes to Joseph Beauchemin and Béatrice Jeannotte. On May 1, 1954 he and his beautiful wife Jeanine were married, starting their own family, and raising them on the very same land on which he had been born and raised. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, December 11, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. from the Notre-Dame-de-la-Miséricorde Church, in Ile-des-Chênes, MB with Father René Chartier presiding and Father Fred Olds con-celebrating. Words of remembrance will be said at 10:15 a.m. Private interment of his cremated remains will take place at a later date. Should friends so desire, donations may be made in Denis's memory to a charity of their choice. "Merci Papa. On t'aime beaucoup et pour toujours."
