JOAQUINA EBORA November 24, 1924 - December 5, 2014 Joaquina Ebora, born November 24, 1924 from Mahabang Dahilig, Batangas City, Philippines, graced the world for 90 years and peacefully passed on December 5, 2014. Joaquina lived a rich life through the blessings of her family. Survived by her sister Gavina Borbon in Batangas. Inspirational, strong, soft spoken and self-disciplined mother of 10 children: Virginia Gamboa, Napoleon (Nena) Ebora, Diosa (Ben) Dimalanta, Ligaya (Rudy) Ocbina, Apolinario (Belen) Ebora, Evangeline (Willy) Tipan, Josephine (Bobby) Galupe, Kennedy (Claire) Ebora, Elenita (Christian) Reyes, Editha Fernandez. Humorous, sensible and beautiful grandmother to 22 grandchildren Nelson (Arlene) Gamboa, Nestor (Suzette) Gamboa, Feliz (Romind) Santos, Oliver (Muning) Dimalanta, Charlene (Ron) Dismaya, Ryan Ocbina, Liezel (Shawn) Erskine, Arlene (Chris) Stillwell, Justin (Tricia) and Kevin Tipan, Kimberly (Phil) Lacap, Lindsay (Anthony) Galupe Solano, Ashley and Bobby Jo Galupe, Catherine (Adrian) LaFrenais, Kazel Ebora, Calvin Ferguson, Andrew and CJ Reyes, Christopher, Caitlyn and Kyler Fernandez. Generous and loving great-grandmother to 16 great-grandchildren Naethan and Nadine (Gamboa), Abby and Audrey (Gamboa), Asher, Rain, Mia Fe (Santos), Marley and Macy (Dismaya), Zael (Erskine), Hayden (Tipan), Sophia and Jacob (Lacap), Kailee and Alexis (Solano) and Keira (LaFrenais). Joaquina's beauty charmed Leoncio Ebora and they married. As a devoted housewife to a well respected school principal, she was always giving and their home entertained many guests. She was a hard working homemaker most of her life until she came to Winnipeg, MB, Canada on December 1, 1979 and worked at Richlu Sportswear for five years. She lived a straight-forward lifestyle of eating healthy and exercising daily. Her accomplishments have been the success and love that flourished in her family! She was the most generous supporter in all that they did and although she will be dearly missed, her legacy will continue to live within them and cherished in their hearts forever. Many thanks to the compassionate Emergency and ICU staff of Seven Oaks General Hospital, their support were greatly appreciated by the family. Viewing / Lamay will be held on Thursday, December 11 and Friday, December 12, 2014 commencing at 6:00 p.m. at Mosaic Funeral Chapel, 1006 Nairn Avenue, Winnipeg, MB. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, December 13, 2014 at 12:30 p.m. from St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church, 748 Keewatin St., Winnipeg, MB. Rev. Monsignor Enrique Samson Jr. celebrant. Interment in Glen Eden Memorial Gardens, 4477 Main St., West St. Paul, MB.
