I was 15 years old, grade 9 when I first saw Michelle walking with her friends, I will never forget her beautiful smile.. We became friends that school year and hung out together everyday till she moved back to Winnipeg.. I was so sad that my best friend had moved away, we kept in contact by phone for about a year, my dad was so mad when he got a 800 dollar phone bill! I missed Michelle so much I spent 3 long days on the greyhound bus from Dawson creek to visit her in Winnipeg.. As time went on we fell out of touch.. It's been over 30 years since I've talked to Michelle but the memories of all the fun we had together and with our group of friends will never be forgotten... To Michelle's husband, kids and family, I'm so sorry for your loss, my thought and prayers are with you.. Rest in peace Michelle, - Posted by: Al Holtom (My Best friend ) on: Dec 31, 2014

Dear Donny, Kyle,Karly, Wendy and John. I am remembering Michelle today Christmas day and starting to accept her passing. She was a great work mate and filled may hours with laughter and support. I miss her at work, she was always willing and happy to cover up one of my "oop" goof ups at work, I often mentioned that an angel was looking over my shoulder solving all glitches and now I have a name for this " Angel". I miss her and wish you all the best enjoy each day as a cherished part of her... - Posted by: Marilyn Kuss (Co-worker and friend ) on: Dec 25, 2014

To a girl I knew a long time ago. She was the first girl that absolutely melted my heart. She had a smile that could brighten the darkest day. The bluest eyes I have ever seen. We used to cruise around and listen to music....have fun. We were kids. .I remember one her fave bands was The Cars. We never went steady or anything....l just had the biggest crush on her.... And to Donny... No offence sir and no disrespect but I absolutely loved her. How could you not. I just want you to know that I am so glad you were there for her . She deserved the best and she got it with you. I am so glad she shared a life with someone that treated her with the upmost respect a person can give another. You had to have cause the MIchelle I knew wouldn't put up with it if you didn't. You There hasn't been a day in the last 30 years plus that I haven't thought about her. Not one. She lit up a room as you know when she walked in. You have my deepest sympathy. I thought the saddest day of my life was when she moved away back to Winnipeg.....Now that I have read this on Christmas eve of all things...... Well I can truly say Christmas will never be the same. God speed Michelle. I love you "Mick", I always will. John Tanchuk - Posted by: John Tanchuk (Old Friend) on: Dec 25, 2014

I met Michelle in the 1980's at Gold's Gym in St. James. We had a fun group of people who worked and trained in the early mornings in those days. When I knew that Michelle and Donny got together, I remember thinking they are perfect for each other. Two really good looking and super nice people who loved each other, got married and started their family. Then I talked to Michelle awhile back and she hadn't been well for some time. She was so frustrated with all the diagnosis and directions to take. She even said then how Donny was her "hero". That he was so understanding and always there for her. He kept with the usual responsibilities of work and keeping the family together. I see this beautiful person's picture today and I am so sorry for Michelle's passing. I know there was suffering and there still will be for all that are left. I will remember Michelle as I always did. Just like this picture you chose. A BEAUTUFUL GIRL. - Posted by: jill palmer nee mcwhinney (friend) on: Dec 10, 2014
