Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLISA ANNE WILLIAMSON - BALLANTYNE February 26, 1972 - December 9, 2014 It is with heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of our beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother (MaMa) and Daughter, Lisa Anne Williamson - Ballantyne, at the age of 42 years, in Winnipeg, Manitoba at the Health Sciences Centre. Lisa is survived by her husband David Ballantyne; her son Cortney Ballantyne (Brittney); her daughters, Angela Ballantyne and Charlaine Ballantyne (Shishonee); her seven grandchildren, Aliese, Addison, Amaya, Raeanne, Bryson, Averlee and JonaLee; her mother Anne Hudson; sister Jennifer McNabb; uncles, Rod McNabb and Norris McNabb; aunties, Patsy Turner and Mary McNabb, and many nieces, nephews, family and friends. Lisa was predeceased by her father Glen Williamson Sr.; her brother Glen "Tiger" Williamson Jr.; grandfather Patrick McNabb; grandmother Harriet McNabb; uncles, Pat "Sprat" McNabb and Bert McNabb; mother-in-law Lillian Ballantyne; father-in-law Howard "Steel Man" Ballantyne, and by brother-in-law Wesley "Zam" Ballantyne. Lisa met the love of her life David at the age of 13 in Grand Rapids, MB in December 1985. They would spend the majority of their lives together, being united in marriage on June 8, 1996. Over their 28 years together, they were blessed with three beautiful children and their seven grandchildren. Lisa's passion in life was putting other's needs before her own. After graduating from high school, she went on to further her education in the health field, becoming a Licensed Practical Nurse and fulfilling her life passion. In the health field she went to various communities in Manitoba. Also her passions in life were being a wife, mother, grandmother (mama), auntie, cousin, sister-in-law, niece and friend. Mom lived life to the fullest, she enjoying spending time with her grandchildren and walking hand in hand with the love of her life, David. She enjoyed hobbies, such as baking, reading, watching movies and she also loved cats. Mom will be sorely missed by her family and friends, especially by her husband, children and grandchildren. The family would like to express their appreciation to the staff of MICU at the Health Sciences Centre, Lisa received the best professional care. Also thank you to Minister Barbara Shoomski. Wake services will be held on Friday, December 12, 2014 at 8:00 p.m. at the Chief Peter Beardy Band Hall, Grand Rapids, MB. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 13, 2014 at 11:00 a.m., St. James Anglican Church, with Rev. Steve Martin officiating. Cremation will follow the services. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Lisa's memory to the Canadian Diabetes Association, 200-310 Broadway, Winnipeg, MB R3C 0S6. Lisa and I met in 1985, we had 3 Beautiful children, Cortney who is our oldest, Angela is Our middle child and first born Daughter and Charlaine who is Our Youngest. Just wanted to share that Lisa was a Caring Loving Wife (Mother and GrandMother of 6 GrandDaughters and One Grandson). I will forever Love You. And You will always be there in My Heart and Memories. I did not know Lisa, but I was just reading this and wanted to leave a few words to her family and friends.
