Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryHEATHER DRESSLER (EPP) Heather, dearest best friend, loving wife and devoted and caring mother to three year old daughter, Winter, passed away comfortably and full of grace, on November 28, 2014 at the Foothills Hospital, Calgary. Her unconquerable spirit, positive attitude, and deep love never wavered during her short and valiant battle with malignant melanoma. Heather is survived by her husband, Jason, and her daughter, Winter. Beloved by her family, she also leaves behind loving parents, Bert and Audrey Epp of Winnipeg, Janis and Stewart Murray of Victoria, and mother-in-law Margaret Farley of Winnipeg, as well as a grandfather, Walt Gibson of Victoria. She leaves siblings, David and Danielle Epp (Faith and Grace) of Seattle; Sherrill and Jason Buhr (Reese and Kobey); Ryan and Cecely Neufeld, and sister-in-law, Jessica Dressler all of Winnipeg. Heather was born February 22, 1974, in Winnipeg, and graduated from Kelvin High School and the University of Manitoba, before starting her career with the Royal Bank in Winnipeg. Heather worked within the RBC call centre, and accepted a transfer to Calgary, where she continued with the RBC regional head office up until the arrival of her beautiful daughter in 2012. Heather was an outstanding wife and mother. She relished her role as a stay at home mom and experienced great joy in spending every waking moment with her family. She had a keen intellect and a wonderful sense humour. Beautiful, loving, intelligent, caring and compassionate, our world is weaker for her passing. We will all miss you! Cremation has taken place. A memorial service is planned for January 10, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Kilcona Park Alliance Church, (Lagimodiere and McIvor), Winnipeg.

Jason, we are deeply saddened you are experiencing the loss of your loved one, Heather. She was the most amazing, optimistic and forgiving person we have met. She shared her love for you and Winter through her voice, eyes and words when we were together. We will cherish Heather's positive outlook in "believing", forever. Heather provided Winter the best gift a mother could give a child, 'attachment, bonding and unconditional love'. What an incredible woman! - Posted by: Uncle Ted and Auntie Wendy (realitives) on: Jan 05, 2015

I am so sorry to learn of Heather's passing. We were good friends and I.B. classmates at Kelvin High School that lost touch when we started university. Heather's smile, sense of humour, and positive attitude were contagious. My heartfelt condolences go out to Heather's loved ones and friends. - Posted by: Terri Webster (nee Mekelburg) (high school friend) on: Jan 02, 2015

Even only knowing Heather via our online community since our daughters were born just days apart, her deep love for her family was always evident. I am so very sorry to learn of her passing and wish to extend my sincerest condolences to her entire family - I can't imagine your pain especially for Jason as he now has to be both parents and keep her memory alive for sweet Winter. I wish for Peace to you all. - Posted by: Jessica (Acquaintance) on: Dec 29, 2014

This is heartbreaking news and I would like to extend my deepest sympathy to Heather's family, especially beautiful Winter. I also knew of Heather and her story from our online community as our girls are the same age. I've prayed for her so often and hoped beyond hope she would make a full recovery. I am so sorry for the loss of this wonderful lady. My continued prayers for her family. - Posted by: Elizabeth (Acquaintance) on: Dec 29, 2014

I am sad to find out Heather has passed. Though we never met, she shared her story online. Our babies were born the same month and it was just by that chance that I learned of Winter her beautiful surprise baby, and her grace and strength as she dealt with her illness. Her story and spirit has touched me, and so many others. I'm thankful to have crossed paths with her. - Posted by: Tara (Acquaintance ) on: Dec 29, 2014

I was so sorry to open the Free Press on Saturday and read of Heather's passing. Jan, it was her picture that caught my eye. She is the spitting image of you. Moves and the passage of time have resulted in a loss of contact in past years and although I did not know Heather personally I truly enjoyed your stories of her growing up. She sounds like an exceptional young woman. Know that I am thinking of you and all whose lives Heather has touched. - Posted by: Heather Morton (University friend of Heather's Mom, Jan) on: Dec 19, 2014

My deepest condolences to Heather's family and friends. We often used to walk to school together as kids. It's so hard to believe that someone you saw every day in a little part of your life isn't still walking in the world in their own space within it. Heather and I only recently reconnected on Facebook and I wish I had gotten to really talk with her more. She was always one of the kindest of my childhood friends and lots of fun. I was so happy to see her loving pictures and words about her little girl Winter. My heart goes out to all of you close to her and missing her in your every day. - Posted by: Katie Currie (elementary school friend) on: Dec 14, 2014
