Date of Passing: Dec 07, 2014
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDAVID WILLIAM GUILE It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of David William Guile on December 7, 2014, at the age of 60 years. He is lovingly remembered by his wife of 40 years, Donna (nee Lynch), his daughter Adrienne and grandchildren Julien and Aspyn. He also leaves to mourn his siblings Bob, Dennis and Norma Bergen (Ed), in-laws Carol Whitney (Wayne), Gerry Lynch (Lynn), Rick Lynch (Debbie) and Wendy Lynch as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Dave was predeceased by his parents Norman and Norah Guile. Dave was born March 12, 1954, in Winnipeg. He worked for CNR for over 35 years, retiring in 2009. In 2010 he started working as a superintendent at The Renaissance in St. Norbert. He enjoyed his time working in the building, getting to know the residents and being a part of their weekly chess, crib and coffee nights. Dave had a great (but unique) sense of humour and was known for always having a smile on his face. Dave loved to fish, curl, read and work on crossword puzzles and Sudokus. He always looked forward to his Tuesday morning breakfast with Dennis and Gerry, his Thursday night poker and his annual fishing trips with Blair and Dennis. Dave was a very devoted husband, father and grandfather who enjoyed spending time with his family. He never missed an opportunity to cook a Sunday dinner for Adrienne and the kids. Donna would like to sincerely thank the residents of The Renaissance for their kindness and support during this difficult time. To honour Dave's wishes, cremation has taken place and an informal celebration of his life will be held on Tuesday, December 16, 2014, at 7:00 p.m. in the Coutu Funeral Chapel, 680 Archibald Street.
