GEORGE BURROWS George Burrows passed away Friday, December 5, 2014, five days after the passing of his beloved wife of 68 years, Mary. He leaves to mourn his daughter Janice, daughter Glenda (Tom) and grandson Justin. George worked for many years as a tin smith and learned how to tackle any construction job. He loved to keep busy. He could, and did, build and fix anything and everything around the house. His workshop in the garage was his favorite place to be and when it was just too cold he turned his hand to oil painting landscapes. George grew up in Birds Hill and as a young boy caddied at Elm Hurst which developed into a love of golf which he played for many years. He loved relaxing in his backyard with Mary, enjoying a good cigar, drinking rum and Coke. The family would like to thank the staff at Concordia Place 4th floor who cared for Dad with kindness during his short stay there. Cremation has taken place and a private family funeral for George and Mary will take place at a later date. Glen Eden Funeral Home & Cemetery 204-338-7111
