Condolences & Memories (6 entries)

  • I think the picture looks very much like an elder version of a very caring and lovely lady who lived next door to me in Transcona before we moved west to BC in around 1970-71. I have some really nice stories, and how she helped an abused kid all those years ago. Happy to share if I can determine I’ve found the right person. If so, I’m really quite sad, as I always thought I’d get the chance to talk to her one day. And thank her. ♥️ Let me know? - Posted by: Phil Lamont (Neighbour ) on: Mar 17, 2019

  • Dear Barb and family, I am so sorry to hear of Aunt Nancy's passing. I know this is late, I just found out. I have thought about her so often, and always will. I am so grateful that despite the miles between us, we were able to stay connected via phone and letters. It meant so much to me that she was always willing to talk to me about my Grandma Ollie, who passed when I was 12 and who I have always missed so much. Aunt Nancy was also always willing to share family history, and tell me about all the people I never got to meet, like Grandma Mary and my Aunt Marlane. Anyway, you are all in my thoughts.
