TILLIE CSATARI (SHRUPKA) A life well lived. A mother much loved. On December 5, 2014 Tillie Csatari (Shrupka) the matriarch of our family passed away peacefully at Riverview Health Centre at the age of 95 years. Mother was predeceased by her husband Bill and her eldest daughter Louise. She is survived by her children, Pat and Garnet Klassen and family; Joan and Bud Pagan and family; Bill and Dawna Csatari and family, plus the five children of Louise and their families. Mother leaves behind 11 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 15 great-great-grandchildren. Mom possessed a strong work ethic along with a strong will and independent nature. These traits served her well throughout her life. Mom's primary focus was always on her family and it was not out of character for her to bake or cook something special for her family, that is what she loved to do. Her perogies, cakes and cookies were always appreciated. Although we are saddened by our lose, we celebrate our beautiful Mother. As per her wishes, cremation has taken place and no service will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba. Sincere thanks to Riverview for their compassionate care shown to Mother.

With her passing comes the probable dissociation and drifting away of many families and individuals spread coast to coast to coast sadly as the mother is of course usually the glue...the link ...the voice ..not even the strongest boy can ignore It was so in this family with Tillie As kids we would drive for hours and hours just to go to winterpeg to see Tillie ( Antonette her real name she had told me ) and Bill....grama and grampa... Bill passed in 1981 I believe with you Curtis being a mere 4 year old at the time and to me just an instant ago in some ways....but to your mother Maxine and to your aunt Joy and my self it was a looked forward to ...long awaited return to our birth places to the nucleus of the clan... full of excitement...wonderful places ...great food and crazy family Gran being the Goat astrologically that I knew her to be just loved all us kids like all cancers naturally do and lived to see us light up with glee over her teasings and treats like vinatarta...her bundt cakes and of course her exquisite perogies that absolutely no one (that I have ever seen) could/can duplicate and no one looked forward to more than us kids I say. Vutchu doin she would say as she stood there with her familiar smirk always one to reminisce about her large brood of family she fondly would tease and speak about I enjoyed any time with her and will always remember her fondly and challenge anyone to find a better gramma ....go ahead and try...it just cant be done My condolences to all of us for all our own shared collective loss here with her passing now ... all you Csatari's.. all you Pagan's...Klassen's/Smith's ..Morgan's...Elliot's ...Shavluk's ...etc and etc The bar has now been set rather high I say for all of you other moms in this family to reach to equal Tillie's stature ...even with absolutely none of you starting shorter than she was to start with ! Cheers Gramma ! Rest well ! - Posted by: john shavluk (First and oldest grandson) on: Dec 20, 2014
