Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySIMONE BEATRICE NOLIN (PERREAULT) March 19, 1934 - December 8, 2014 After a hard fought and very long 20 year struggle with Alzheimer's disease, it is with mixed feelings of relief and with sadness that we say goodbye to our beloved wife and mother Simone Nolin. Simone passed away at Mount St. Mary's Hospital on Monday, December 8, 2014. She leaves behind her beloved husband of 52 years Don, sons Mark (Val) and their son Michael and their daughter Stephanie of Victoria, Robert (Heather) and their two daughters Samantha and Megan of Calgary and her daughter Kelly-Ann Turkington (Todd) and their son Nicholas Housden also of Victoria; her brother Paul Perreault Sr. (Barb) of Winnipeg; her brother-in-law Claude (Flore); sisters-in-law, Lillian Ramsay, Aline Carreiro (Simon) of Winnipeg and Florence of Victoria and many nieces and nephews and godchildren. Simone was born in St. Norbert, Manitoba and attended Ste. Avila School as well as St. Norbert Collegiate. In 1980, Simone, Don and family relocated to Victoria and totally enjoyed their lives here away from the Manitoba winters. Simone was employed with the Greater Victoria Hospital Society until 1996 when she took early retirement due to ill health. Simone was a kind and compassionate lady and most of all a wonderful wife and mother. She will be missed, but we take great comfort in knowing that she is now at peace and in a better place. In lieu of flowers and if so desired, a donation in Simone's name to the Alzheimer Society, 202 - 306 Burnside Road West, Victoria, BC V8Z 1M1 or to a charity of one's choice will be appreciated. A memorial mass will be held at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, 753 Burnside Road on Monday, December 15, 2014 at 12:30 p.m.

So sorry to hear of Simone's passing, Don. I remember meeting her years ago at Denise's and recall her as a quiet and gentle lady. Please accept my sincere sympathy. She is now in comfort and peace. - Posted by: Barbara Peaker (friend) on: Dec 13, 2014
