FRANCES SICILIANO It is with great sadness that our family announces the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, aunt, and sister-in-law, Frances Siciliano on December 12, 2014 at the age of 86. Frances is survived by her daughter Linda Mauthe (Bob), son Mario (Janay), grandchildren Andrew, Melissa, and Olivia, brother-in-law Orlando Siciliano (Giovanna), sister-in-law Amelia Romeo, brother-in-law Alberto Capozzi, and many nieces and nephews. Frances was predeceased by her husband Egidio, brother Peter Falvo, sisters Mary Ianiero, Kay Pallone, Rose Guzzi, and her parents Luigi and Felicia Falvo, and many brothers and sisters-in-law. Frances was born in Winnipeg on May 3, 1928. She went to school and worked in Winnipeg and married the love of her life, Egidio Siciliano. They had a long and happy life together raising their family and were rarely apart. Frances was a dedicated homemaker and mother and took great pride in caring for her family. Frances loved having visitors to her home and always had home baking to offer at each occasion. She also enjoyed gardening and planting many flowers. Her joy was to sit outside and enjoy the blooming flowers. She played a central role in assisting extended family members as they settled in Winnipeg from Italy. Frances was a big part of her grandchildren's lives and she never missed an opportunity to spend time with them. She will be missed by all that knew her. We wish to extend our gratitude to the staff of Heritage Lodge for their loving and compassionate care. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society. Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Rosary Parish Church, 510 River Avenue, on Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. with Fr. Sam Argenziano as the Celebrant. Viewing and condolences will begin at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Waverley Memorial Gardens, 1501 Waverley Street. Pallbearers will be: Ben Mzakar, Todd Bezak, Paulo Vieira, Franco Siciliano, Andrew Mauthe, and Nicolas Dingman.
