MILDRED (MID) EVELYN BENDELER
Born: Apr 22, 1931
Date of Passing: Dec 13, 2014
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMILDRED (MID) EVELYN BENDELER On December 13, 2014 our dear mom, grandma and great-grandma Mildred (Mid) Evelyn Bendeler (nee Belbin) lost her short but courageous battle to cancer. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 57 years, Richard (Dick), her daughter Brenda Davies, granddaughter Crystal and grandson Joshua. She is survived by her children Rick (Linda), Patricia (Gerald), Bryan (Carola), Sharon (Dwight), Kathy (Keith), Jo-Anne (Terry), Diane (Gert), Michele (Andy), Steve, and Cheryl (Dennis). In addition, she left behind 21 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Mom was born April 22, 1931 in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, where she met the love of her life. Mom had the warmest heart and always wanted the best for those around her. Whether it was through a phone call or a visit, she always made it so clear how much she loved you. She was wise, kind and she lived for the little things, as she knew that those are really the big things. Her strength inspired us all down to the very last few days. We are so grateful to have been able to call her our mom, grandma, great-grandma and friend. She was the brightest light in our lives and we know that her light will continue to shine through us all. Cremation has taken place and a private celebration will be held as per her wishes. Special thanks to the staff at Gimli Community Health Centre for their loving care for our dear mom. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Gimli Community Health Centre in Gimli, Manitoba.

We are so saddened to hear that Mid has passed away. She was a very dear, kind-hearted individual with a great sense of humour and a wonderful smile. We feel blessed to have known her. May you find peace in knowing she is watching from above and is together again with Dick and the other family members. I was so sorry to hear of Auntie Mid's passing. Especially so soon after my dad's (Mid's brother, Cliff) passing in August. Auntie Mid was such a truly kind and genuine person. She was very family-oriented. I always remember when Uncle Dick and Auntie Mid would load the kids in the car to come to Moose Jaw to visit, and always stay at the Dreamland Motel. She always made sure to visit my mom and dad. I also enjoyed seeing your family at those times. I always felt Auntie Mid was very close to my Dad. My thoughts are with you and your family this holiday season. Love, Patty - Posted by: Patty Belbin (Niece ) on: Dec 23, 2014

I love you so much grandma. I'll never forget all the times I spent with you. They were all so special to me. I just wanna thank you for everything that you've done for me and you've helped me so much with Kayden, even if you couldn't you wouldn't ever say no. You always told me how much you loved his company and how you never wanted him to leave..he was your best little buddy. I am glad Kayden got to meet you grandma. I am so happy he got to share times with you like I used to do when I was a little girl. We say goodnight to you every night, and we will miss you dearly. RIP grandma. Love you so much. Mom was the true fabric of our family. We will always cherish all the times and moments of our lives that we got to spend with her. Her inspiration and guidance helped us greatly. Her cheer, her wit, her comments were right on with what we needed in particular situations. May she be in that restful place that she rightfully deserves. Love you always, and forever, Sharon and Dwight Dickerson. - Posted by: dwight dickerson (son in law) on: Dec 16, 2014
