STUART JOHN DEXTER NAGAM It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Stuart (Stu), who left us on Saturday, December 13, 2014. Stu is survived by his sons, Craig, Terry and Michael, sisters Lois and Deanna and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, (Sharon) parents, (Elthea and John). Born in Winnipeg, November 8, 1942, Stu met the lady of his dreams and married her in 1966. They spent the next 17 years loving each others company until her passing in 1983. Smart as a whip, Stu put himself through school and earned his degree in mechanical engineering, working most of his adult life at the steel mill in Selkirk, MB. Never one to shy away from a conversation, Stu was blessed throughout his life with friendships and family bonds which flourished as the years went by. His love of people and sports led him to many years volunteering his time to the Winnipeg Minor Hockey Association. Through coaching, convening and time-keeping, Stu played an inaugural part in the early years of getting Morse Place and Valley Gardens community clubs up and running. Upon retirement, Stu settled on the shores of lake Superior in Schreiber, ON and spent the rest of his days surrounded by loved ones. A special thanks to Dad's "Angels", Angie and Stan, who truly understand the meaning of friendship. A celebration of Dad's life will be held at a later date. Flowers are respectfully declined. Donations can be made to the Royal Canadian Legion in Schreiber, Branch #109.
