PEARL LEE We are saddened by the loss of our mother, Pearl Lee, on Friday, December 19, 2014. She was the devoted wife of our late father, Gordon. She is mourned by her sons Craig (Nancy), and Terry (Kirsti), her granddaughters Melissa (Alex), Morgan, and Marikka, and great-granddaughter Danica. She is also mourned by her sister Yvonne Chow (Wayne), sisters-in-law Betty Lee and Jean Lee, brother-in-law Bill Lee, and extended family in Winnipeg and across the country. She was predeceased by her siblings Helen Jung (and Jack), Megan Lee, and Jim Wong (and Irene). Mom was born in rural Manitoba in Elm Creek. A child of the Depression, she moved to Winnipeg following her marriage. She was a longtime civilian employee of the RCMP. She will be remembered as a loving and caring mother whose lasting legacy will be her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. We would like to thank the health care providers at the Grace Hospital especially Dr. Lam and her family physician, Dr. Singer, for their excellent care and attention. We would also like to thank her attentive neighbors Joyce and Lee Donnelly. In lieu of flowers, donations to the St. Boniface or Grace Hospitals of Winnipeg or to your favourite charity would be welcomed. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, December 29, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. with reception to follow at Neil Bardal Funeral Centre, 3030 Notre Dame Avenue (across from Brookside Cemetery). I am a retired member of the RCMP. It was in Wpg that I became acquainted with Pearl. Pearl and I corresponded annually (Xmas) for close to 50 years. I visited her on three different occasions. I just learned today 31 Dec. of her passing. Pearl was a very fine lady, one that I was proud to call a friend. - Posted by: Laurie Furlonger (Friend & former coworker) on: Dec 31, 2014

I have so many fond memories of Pearl. She was an important part of my young adulthood and I am so glad we continued to stay in contact over the years. Her hospitality and welcoming spirit and wisdom which I have been blessed with, will remain with me always. Thinking of you Craig, Nancy and family; Terry, Kirsti and family at this time. Auntie Pearl was always cheerful, warm and welcoming towards me and my brothers when we visited the family growing up in Winnipeg during our childhood. My brothers Dan and Dave and I left Manitoba to B.C. so we only saw her and Gordie occasionally but we were all treated royally when we returned to visit relatives in Winnipeg. She was a wonderful mother to Craig and Terry and a faithful and loving wife to Uncle Gordie. We all have fond memories of her My deepest sympathies from my family to Craig and Terry and their families. Doug - Posted by: douglas dare (Aunt) on: Dec 22, 2014

Pearl was affectionately known as the "Go-To" person for RCMP rural detachment clerks. She always went the extra mile to help everyone. Pearl was well respected equally by her fellow workers and by members of the Force. Her retirement created a void, and now her passing will leave a hole in your lives. Take comfort in your many happy memories! - Posted by: Dianna Brown (former Detachment Clerk) on: Dec 22, 2014

I'm going to miss your mom. We reconnected when a mutual friend passed away. Your mother was a wonderful, intelligent, generous person that adored her grandkids. When she worked, she was well liked and respected by everyone for her vast knowledge of the RCMP and it's policies and her great sense of humour. She trained so many members in the course of her career. The last time I had lunch with her was in August and she just seemed so healthy and well. We went for liver. She loved it and hadn't had it for some time. We were supposed to have lunch monthly but it didn't really happen because I guess I was busy with other things and forgot to call. She had a wonderful life and I know she is reunited with your dad. My sincere condolences to your family. - Posted by: Carol Rybczuk (Friend and co-worker) on: Dec 20, 2014
