THEODORE WAYNE MARTIN May 11, 1950 - December 12, 2014 Dad hated obituaries, so with that in mind, this is a simple announcement of his death. Dad passed away peacefully at home on the couch in his sleep with his dog Kaco by his side. After a sudden diagnosis of lung cancer, his heart packed it in and he went fast, exactly what he would have wanted. Dad was predeceased by his Dad (Siggi), Uncle (Einar), Mom (Steina), Brother (Lorne), and his Wife of 43 years, Sandy, in March of this year. He leaves behind his two daughters Tracy (Cam), Tiory; and his only grandson Kolton. Dad was very proud of his Icelandic heritage, loved to winter fish, enjoyed camping and spent many years playing guitar in bands throughout the province. Dad was heavily involved in restorations of Husavik Hall with many of his good friends and neighbours. Dad was a journeyman carpenter by trade and a commercial fisherman. He offered his time and skills to anyone in need. A private family interment will take place at a later time. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Betel Home Foundation of Gimli for their Entertainment Fund. Goda Nott Afi Gilbart Funeral Home, Gimli, in care of arrangements.
