Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryANNIE MARIA FLATT 1916 - 2014 Mom passed into the presence of her Lord at Lions Personal Care Centre on December 12, 2014. She was born on April 3, 1916, and grew up on the family farm near Glenella, Manitoba. She married Adolph Flatt on October 2, 1938. Annie and Adolph homesteaded on a farm near Glenella and had one child, Adeline. Their home and farm buildings were constructed from logs cut from the bush on the farm. After selling their farm mom and dad acquired a Husky Service Station with a small restaurant on the outskirts of Neepawa. Mom was in her element cooking, baking and chatting with everyone that came in. For a few years she was employed by East View Lodge and they purchased a home nearby with a large garden. She loved to share the produce from her garden, fruit trees and her many flowers. Mom loved to cook and bake, always making sure everyone had plenty to eat. Her freezer was always filled with fruit and vegetables. There wasn't much that mom couldn't do. Her hobbies included sketching, sewing, knitting, beading and quilting. Family and many friends have keepsakes of her talents. In her eighties she was still crafting and taking part in craft shows at Lions Place. She was also known as the "seamstress" for a number of residents. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Adeline Barclay and husband Doug: her grandchildren Heather Mueller (Roland), Ryan Barclay (Kamila), Lauren Milani (Peter); her great-grandchildren Ryland, Vaughn, Isabella and Arlo and her sister Alvina Loewen. She was predeceased by her husband Adolph in 2005 . Her ashes will be spread on the land where they homesteaded. A private family remembrance will take place during the summer at Booster Lake where she enjoyed one of her favourite pastimes, fishing. 204-782-3541 www.kilcollinscremationservice.com
