LENARD JAMES GOODINE It is with great sadness that the family wishes to announce the passing of Lenard Goodine of Winnipeg, Manitoba. Lenard was predeceased by his father Jim Goodine; mother Florence Brandson; stepfather Simmie Brandson; younger brother Randy Goodine; his grandparents; and several aunts and uncles. He is survived by his sister Corinne (Tom); brother Joe (Sandra); sister Bernice (Louis); nephews Shawn (April), Tim, and Ben; niece Jessica; as well as aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Lenard James Goodine was born on September 6, 1959 in Winnipeg, Manitoba to Florence and James Goodine. After his parents separated, he moved with his Mom and siblings to the Buff Creek/Silver Ridge area, where he spent his childhood. Most of his working life was spent working for various local farmers. He spent some time working in Winnipeg at the Old Spaghetti Factory, but he enjoyed farm work, so it was back to that until health issues forced him into early retirement. He lived in several different places in Winnipeg, then decided to move to Dauphin. He stayed there for several years but missed some of the conveniences that the bigger city offered. So he moved back to Winnipeg where he stayed until his passing. Lenard used to enjoy curling when his health allowed, he liked to play pool and was always ready for a card game, especially Crib. He liked to watch television and, always watching his budget, would switch between cable providers to get the most channels for the least money. He liked to watch sports on television and never missed the Jets, the Bombers, or the Blue Jays, sometimes flipping through channels to keep track of multiple games at once. He certainly never missed watching Monday night wrestling on television. Family and friends wishing may sign a book of condolence at www.glenlawn.ca Glen Lawn Funeral Home 982-7550
