I was very sad to hear that Pat had passed away. I had the pleasure of working with Pat for 2+ years at Ipsos. I quickly came to appreciate Pat's ability to get to the heart of any problem, find a solution and then work through that solution...not just in business, but in life. She was such a rare individual - I truly loved working with her. She never met a challenge she couldn't take on. Not only did she always provide her honest opinion or assessment, but she had a way of making bad news not so bad, or difficult situations not so challenging. Above all, I enjoyed talking with Pat about "non-work" issues - What she was doing for the weekend, hearing her horse stories... I only had the chance to know Pat for a short time, but I got the chance to see what a special person she was. My deepest Sympathies go out to all of her family and friends. It's so very sad that such a bright light is no longer with us. - Posted by: Mike Kuehn (Friend and Co-worker) on: Jan 05, 2015

Dear Paige and Steven, My condolences to you on the loss of your mother. I had the privilege of working directly with Pat for several years at Angus Reid/Ipsos and will miss the long and thoughtful conversations we had. She was so nice and kind; I lost count the number of times she drove me home after work. She always seemed to know what to say in any situation – thoughtful, funny, intelligent and kind. We had endless conversations about life and family. I had a deep respect for her as she was always on the ball, intelligent and trustworthy. After getting my cancer diagnosis, Pat was the first friend I reached out to. Partly because she had gone through cancer treatment, but mainly because I knew I would feel better talking to her – as I always did. She made me feel so positive and gave me hope after what seemed to be wave after wave of bad news. Her words were food for my soul at a time when things seemed unsettled and unclear. Pat truly touched my life and thinking about her brings back nice memories and warm, kind thoughts. I will miss her. - Posted by: John van Loenen (Friend) on: Dec 23, 2014

Pattie and I spent many sunny afternoons grooming horses at the barn together. I will always remember her beautiful smile she would shoot your way in an instant, and all her kind words and gestures. My condolences to her friends and family, she will be missed. - Posted by: Suzie (Friend from the horse community) on: Dec 23, 2014
