Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDORIS EVELYN SUTHERLAND Peacefully, surrounded by her family at the Kingston General Hospital on Friday, December 19, 2014 in her 95th year. Doris was brought up in the Prairies and raised her family in Lachine, Quebec before retiring in Belleville, Ontario. Loving wife of the late Ronley Sutherland. Beloved mother to Ronley (Karen), Joe (Debbie), Brenda (Jack) McLean. Extraordinary Gramma to Mike (Jill), Jenny (Clark), Dave, Laura (Greg), Mark, Brad, adored by her great- grandchildren Adelaide, Ainsley, Henry, Maelle, Lila, Eloise and Jack. Dear sister to Albert Goodeve, Florence Lavoie and the late Bea Mitchell. Remembered fondly by her nieces and nephews. Doris had a radiant smile, infectious laugh and legendary sense of humour that made her a pleasure to be around. To Doris her family was her pride and joy and was happiest when surrounded by them. Doris lived her life to the fullest and will live on in our hearts forever. Doris was a long time curler, lawn bowler, avid Blue Jays fan and loved to socialize with friends. The family wish to extend a sincere thank you to the staff at KGH Davies 3 and the cardiac care team for their care and compassion. Family and friends will be received at the Gordon F. Tompkins Funeral Home - Township Chapel 435 Davis Drive Kingston, Ontario (Taylor Kidd Blvd. and Centennial Drive) on Monday, December 22, 2014 from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. A celebration of her life will be held on Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. Reception to follow. Cremation has taken place. For those who wish, donations may be made to the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Kingston & Area or to the Kingston Humane Society in Doris, memory would be appreciated.
