I met Sue at the Manitoba Teachers' Society AGM this spring, when I was a new delegate. Her experience working with PTTA and her passion for attending AGM were obvious and admirable. I learned a lot from her in those three days, and am grateful to have experienced her warm and genuine personality. AGM this year will certainly not be the same without her. - Posted by: Carla Bouchard (Colleague) on: Dec 23, 2014

To the MacKinnon family: You are all in my thoughts and prayers at this time. Sue and I enjoyed many a conversation, laughter and tears before and after school. We shared a passion for teaching. We shared a passion for Paul McCartney and Michael Buble and even met at the concerts! We shared a passion for our daughters who were always close in our hearts but far away in distance. Know that you were all loved and remembered fondly by her always. Sue, you were a great friend and colleague and will be missed. Rest in peace with your beloved husband and daughter. - Posted by: Karin Klassen (Friend and Colleague) on: Dec 23, 2014

I will forever miss my dear friend Sue. I will miss the times we had together, lunch, dinner, talking, shopping, concerts, the theatre and just hanging out together. Sue was always there for me. My thoughts are with you, Maghan, and your family, today and always. - Posted by: Nancy Shellrude (A friend) on: Dec 23, 2014

To the MacKinnon Family, I am so very sorry for your loss. I worked with Sue for a number of years at Dalhousie. What she lacked in stature she made for with personality. Sue was a great teacher and loved her kids...well most days...It's hard to love 6 year olds all the time! I enjoyed getting to know Sue both at school and at union functions. She always had something witty to say. I will miss her. My Sincere Condolences Joe Heide - Posted by: Joseph Heide (Former Colleague) on: Dec 23, 2014

Still trying to process the loss of such a kind soul. Sue and I met many many years ago at one of our favorite places...a Bomber game. Sue and Hugh were sitting right behind my kids and I and of course they both took to my boys. We spent many many hours talking about family and kids and of course our beloved Winnipeg Blue Bombers. She made such a huge impact on everyone she came across. My kids and I send our heartfelt prayers and thoughts to the family and other friends who will forever miss that infectious laughter, kind heart and welcoming spirit. RIP my dear friend, until we meet again. - Posted by: Jackie Greene (friend) on: Dec 22, 2014

I met Sue in Korea. She became a very close friend. We spent many hours and holidays together and oh how she made me laugh. I treasure those memories. The Robinson family would like to convey our sympathy to the MacKinnon family and to Janice who I met in Korea. - Posted by: Shelagh Robinson (Friend) on: Dec 22, 2014

I am so sorry that I can not be at Sue's memorial service as I am out of the country. My thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends. I have worked with Sue for the past four years and I am going to really miss her. She was always such a giving person and willing to do anything for her students. Sue, you are finally with your daughter and husband. Your family and all of us at Dalhousie School hope that you are at peace. - Posted by: Barb B. (Co Worker) on: Dec 22, 2014

Such a beautiful lady you were Sue. We had many conversations about life and personal situations. You were loved by many and will be missed by many. I know how much you loved your family, how much you were looking forward to going to spend Christmas with your daughter that you missed terribly. You so often spoke of your family and me of mine. I will miss that. I will miss you..... "Fly high sweet one. Your Precious Journey has just begun" - Posted by: Lori Veideman (Co-worker/Friend) on: Dec 22, 2014

Dear MacKinnon family: I am so sorry for your loss. I still am trying to process this loss. Sue and I spent many wonderful times together shopping, talking about school and family, relaxing in the sun, laughing....oh did I say laughing! She had such a great sense of humour! Sue was so generous and kind to those who mattered, always thinking of how they touched her life. Lucky are the students who were touched by Sue's heart. Lucky me. - Posted by: Karen Landry DeCorby (Friend - colleague) on: Dec 22, 2014
