I remember Fred Andries as a little girl doing a toast for my grandma and grandpa Andries, for one of their wedding Anniversaries. I remember it because it was funny and we all laughted. Octive May 21, 1894- Jan 18,1979 and Suzanna Dec 26, 1897. But I'm sorry the picture I have of grandma and grandpa does not have grandma's date on her passing. I'm so sorry for your loss, May God Bless you All. Alison - Posted by: Alison Fleming (Andries) ( 3rd daughter of Alexander and Ludmila (Lil) Andries, of Wpg, Man. I am Anita (Andries) Brackston. I am one of the six children of Alexander and Lil Andries. My father Alex's parents were Octave and Susan Andries. Fred did the speech to the bride at my wedding in 1975 in Winnipeg. I have sent this obituary to my brother and four sisters. My sincerest condolences to members of Fred's surviving family. - Posted by: Anita Brackston (Andries) () on: Dec 24, 2014

Remembering the 1960's in Somerset when Fred was the ice-maker in the Swan Lake Curling rink. He gave many of us "rotten kids" a start in the winter sport that he enjoyed so much. Fred took the time to really give us a heads-up about curling "tricks". - Posted by: Linda (Clemis) Ritchie (acquaintance) on: Dec 24, 2014
