Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryPALMERIO DEL GROSSO Peacefully, with his family by his side, Palmerio Del Grosso passed away after a brief illness on Monday, December 22, 2014. He leaves behind his wife of 62 years Pasqualina, children Giuseppina (Vincenzo), Maria Grazia (Nello), and Roberto (Jan). He will be sadly missed by his grandchildren Lelia (Frank), Ermanno (Melissa), Stefania, Lisa (Angelo), Carlo, Vanessa, Deanna, and Paul; great-grandchildren Nadia, Antonio, Cristina, Loredana, Matteo, and Giordano. He also leaves to mourn his brothers Luigi (Tina) and Fernando (Ida), sister Concetta (Antonio), brother-in-law Mario (Marion), as well as many other nieces and nephews in Canada, USA, and Italy. Palmerio was predeceased by his parents Giuseppe and Giuseppina, brother Filippo, and sisters Nina and Leride, and grandson Marco. Palmerio was born in Pescina, L'Aquila, Italy on October 22, 1926. He married the love of his life, Pasqualina, on January 20, 1952 and later immigrated to Canada in April of 1957. He was then joined by his wife and daughters; Giuseppina and Maria Grazia in August of the same year. In January 1965 their son Roberto was born. Upon his arrival to Canada, Palmerio supported his family as a self-employed tile setter. He enjoyed his time gardening, wine making, and most of all spending time with friends and family. We would like to express our sincere appreciation to the staff at Deer Lodge Centre, Grace Hospital, and the Intensive Care Ward at Victoria General Hospital for all their care and support. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Palmerio's memory to CancerCare Manitoba or a charity of your choice. Viewing will be held on Saturday, December 27, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church, 510 River Ave. with Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Fr. Samuel N. Argenziano Celebrating. Entombment will follow at Waverley Memorial Gardens. 204-586-8044

Palmerio and his family were always welcome at my parents' home. A hard worker and a man who was dedicated to his family and put their needs first. A permanent fixture in the Italian community. To the del grosso family . I am very sorry to hear of palmerio passing. I grew up with Palmerio being a regular vistor to my mother and father,s house . Many happy times with laughter , Food and of coarse wine. Always remember the good times .It will help heel the sadness that you feel now . God bless.
