EDITH E. H. KOTYK It is with saddened hearts that we announce the passing of our mother, Edith (Edie) Ella Kotyk on December 18, 2014 at the age of 82. She has gone to be with her Steve. She leaves to mourn her daughters, Linda (Tom), Ann (John) and Maria (Rick), her grandchildren, Krista (Wayne), Talia, Graham, Blake, Hayley and Quinn, and her brother Peter (Ingrid) and nieces and nephews. Edith was born in Seirksdorf, Germany. While working in Scotland she met her husband, Steve. After they married, they spent a few years in London, England before they decided to start a new life and raise their family in Canada. Unfortunately, Steve passed in 1997. Edith had great strength and determination and approached everything in life with this spirit. Her daughters and their accomplishments were a source of great pride. She loved all animals, especially her dogs and budgies. Time spent at the cottage with her family and grandchildren meant a lot to Edith. Her faith was very important to her and she volunteered many hours to the church. The family would like to thank Dr. Lance Crook at Seven Oaks Hospital for his kind and thoughtful care. Prayers will be held at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. on Sunday, January 4, 2015 at 6:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held at St. Joseph's Ukrainian Catholic Church, 250 Jefferson Avenue on Monday, January 5, 2015 at 10:00 with interment to follow at Glen Eden Memorial Gardens, 4477 Main Street, West St. Paul. If friends so desire, donations may be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society or The Heart and Stroke Foundation. CROPO 204-586-8044
