Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryROY G. FISHER June 19, 1931 - December 20, 2014 It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of our brother and uncle Roy George Fisher. Roy was predeceased by his beloved wife Stella, parents Roy and Theresa Fisher, sisters Janet (Jack-deceased) and Diane, brothers Ron and Mickey (Joyce-deceased). Left to cherish his memory are his sisters Shirley (David-deceased) and Barb (Jim). Roy had a special relationship with his many nieces and nephews who loved their "Uncle Roy". Roy was born on June 19, 1931 in Winnipeg and raised in the north end. Roy served his country with the R.C.A.F. and finished his working career with Manitoba Hydro, retiring in 1994. Under his rough/gruff exterior, Roy was a man whose heart was filled with love for his family. Our sincere thanks to all the wonderful staff on the 3rd floor at the Concordia Hospital. As per Roy's wishes, immediate cremation has taken place and interment of ashes will take place this coming spring. Date and time will be advised. I'd like the memory of me to be a happy one. I'd like to leave an afterglow of smiles when life is done. I'd like to leave an echo whispering softly down the ways, Of happy times and laughing times and bright and sunny days. I'd like the tears of those who grieve, to dry before the sun of happy memories that I leave when life is done. Roy loved to ten pin bowl. We will always remember when Roy was having a bad game he would always blame it on the "dam" bowling ball. Roy would always look for you to tell you that it was the bowling ball's fault that he was having a bad game. He was a great guy as he got along with everyone. - Posted by: Cliff and Donna Meder (Close Friend) on: Dec 27, 2014
