VIOLETTA ELLEN KNIGHT 1926 - 2014 Passed away peacefully at Concordia Place, on Friday, December 19, 2014 with her two daughters at her bedside, after a lengthy struggle with Parkinson's. Vi is survived and will be sadly missed by her children: Beverley Knight (Greg Byrnes), Brian Knight (Janice), Arlene Kalyniuk (Don), Darrell, Keith, and Graham Knight, and her seven adoring grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Violetta leaves one sister, Irene Ziegler, many nieces and nephews, and other relatives and friends. Vi was predeceased by her husband, Harry Knight in 1997, her daughter, Lorraine (Bunny) in 1967, son Justin in 1970 and twin sons at birth in 1956. She was also predeceased by her parents, Harold and Neva Peters. Funeral services will be held at the Transcona Memorial United Church, 209 Yale Ave. West on Monday, December 29 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Jeff Cook officiating. Pallbearers will be her grandsons. Honorary pallbearers will be her granddaughters. The family wishes to thank all the staff at Concordia Place for the loving care they gave to our mother. If friends wish, donations can be made to the Manitoba Parkinson's Foundation. Thank you Mom for all the love you gave, for the wonderful mother you were, and adoring grandmother to our children, and all the wonderful years and memories you left us with, Mom.
