I met Charlie well over 20 years ago as a fellow Kinsmen. I've always admired his honesty and loyalty to those he chose to align himself with. I had never met a harder working or more dedicated personality. His sense of humour was always unique and served as a source of humour itself. Charlie has been stopping for visits at my place of business for years and has always been welcomed by staff. He was not only a friend but a great business associate. He was as willing to help us with technical information as we were with him. Remembering back to when Charlie and became ill and had to leave work, his greatest concern was he had not yet had a chance to spend the time with his grandson and that would help him fight this. I know he got to do some of that as it was always part of our conversations. Charlie was one brave and tough SOB and I'm going to miss him. My best wishes to his family who I know are missing him. - Posted by: Ken Tereck (Friend) on: Jan 03, 2015

Thank you, everyone! For the love and support, for the memories and for being a part of Dad's life. He was so respected and loved. Keep talking about him so his awesome personality lives on through the stories that we share. And keep laughing and playing practical jokes because that's who he was! Love and miss you forever, Daddy❤️ - Posted by: Margaret (Charlie's daughter) on: Jan 03, 2015

Thank you Charlie for always being there to help people out especially with all you were going through. You fought the brave battle and never complained. You were the first person I actually knew to manufacture and use biodiesel from used cooking oil. I loved the smell of French fries coming out of your exhaust pipe! I am not able to attend your funeral but believe me Charlie you will always be remembered for being such a great guy. My family and I extend our condolences to your family, kids and grandkids, who you cherished, for their loss. Rest peacefully Charlie. - Posted by: Jim McCarthy (Good friend and fellow Kinsmen) on: Dec 30, 2014

The day has come where we had to say goodbye to one of the most kind hearted men around. Rob, Myself, Bailey, Kaden and Tristan will forever treasure all our memories with you always. We will miss your crazy sense of humor, your jolly laugh and that smile that was always contagious. We all had our ways of showing our love for each other and I know you expressed some regret to my mom that you should have said it more often. But as someone who was around you, Aunt Geisla, Margaret and Thomas my entire life there was no mistaking that your love was felt through all of us. Especially your kids and your handsome Grandson Chase. The way he made your eyes light up was a sight for anyone to see. We love you and will always keep you close. Rest in peace Uncle Charlie or as my dad would say "Batman" - Posted by: Jennifer Smith (Neice) on: Dec 30, 2014
