Condolences & Memories (6 entries)

  • Our heartfelt condolences to the family during this difficult time. I've known your Dad for a lot of years ever since he fixed our chimney when we still lived in Warren. Over the past few years we enjoyed having the occasional coffee together or men's breakfast. A very kind and gentle man devoted to Jesus. His faith and words were very encouraging to me and will not be forgotten. John will be missed very much. Our hearts and prayers are with the family. - Posted by: Ralph & Pat Tanchak (Friends) on: Jan 02, 2015

  • Our condolences go out to you. Your dad was a wonderful man and we admired his walk with the Lord. Take comfort in the fact that he has never been more alive and that you will see him again. - Posted by: Patti and Dennis Morgan (Niece and nephew) on: Jan 01, 2015

  • Well Brenda and Tracy, I still can't believe your dad has left us. I will surely miss the chats over the fence we enjoyed many summer evening in the past few years. He was a good friend who was always ready to lend a helping hand. He had a powerful faith and I'm sure he is so happy to be reunited with Jan. My thoughts are with you and your families. - Posted by: Don Bean (Friend) on: Jan 01, 2015

  • "Papa John" had a gentle spirit, tender heart, friendly smile, big laugh and great bear hugs. Brenda and Tracy have told me over the years, that they never grew up in fear of yelling in the home. Many people will see heaven's gates open wide because of Papa John living out his faith wherever he was. He was loved and will be missed. Mr. Thiessen's faithfulness to God, Mrs. Thiessen, Brenda, Tracy, his grandchildren and church is a blessing and a legacy that will live on for generations to come. - Posted by: Naomi MacKay (Family friend for over 30 years. ) on: Dec 30, 2014

  • Our sincere condolences to Tracey and Brenda and families. It is hard to lose a parent and grandparent, especially both in one year. Your Dad was a wonderful, dedicated man of faith, a true inspiration. We were inspired by his dedication to bringing the importance of blessing and honoring Israel to the attention of he church. We will miss his "AMENS" at church. - Posted by: Ralph and Gail Eichler (Friends) on: Dec 30, 2014
