CAROLE FLORENCE DAMBOISE March 20, 1958 December 25, 2014 On Thursday, December 25, 2014, at the Selkirk General Hospital, Carole Damboise, aged 56 years, passed away. She was predeceased by her father Alfred in 1973. She is survived by her mother Francoise; sister Francine (Marcel) Letourneau; brothers Andre and Marc; nieces and nephews, Lynne (Real) Vaillancourt, Nancy (Remi) Rivard, Bobby, Josee (Francois) Nolet, Miguel (Rachelle) and Lissa; great-nieces and great-nephews Myriam, Jeremy, Justice, Jesse and Kamille; as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Carole was born in Hearst, Ontario. She grew up and attended school there and became a truck driver at the age of 18. This job allowed her travel coast to coast and throughout the states where she met many people. In her early 30's she moved to Manitoba to pursue her career as a truck driver, finishing her career with Veitch Trucking. Carole enjoyed fishing, skidooing, gardening, doing volunteer work at the House of Economy and Selkirk Food Bank as well as being a part of the CWL. Carole was very generous and social, she liked to have a laugh and make jokes. She was very loved by her family and friends and will be missed. Memorial Mass will be held on Wednesday, December 31, at 11:00 a.m. in the Notre Dame Roman Catholic Church with Fr. Stan Gacek officiating.   • Sorry to hear of Carol's passing--have often thought about her--she stayed with me and my husband Bruce when she first came to winnipeg-They worked at Arnold Bros-- we moved to Ont then to BC and lost contact with her..
