Condolences & Memories (12 entries)

  • I met Sherrie through Homecare and we quickly became friends, we could easily chat about what was happening in our lives and with our families. Sherrie was a truly special lady, never had a harsh word about anyone, she was so sensitive in that she could tell if something was wrong just by looking at you. I know this last year was hard for Sherrie but she was still there to listen and talk to, and even if I was too busy I'd still make the time to see her just to brighten her day a little bit. I'm grateful she was happy about her decision to allow me to give Riley a home, I know she was happy being able to see how attached he'd become to me and knowing that Susan would've been happy about it. I'm going to miss our chats Sherrie, you were one of a kind and I will miss you always. I will always love you. - Posted by: Lisa (Friend) on: Jan 09, 2015

  • Sherri was very important to us as a family, we moved here 1981 and our oldest daughter Dana attended Jaycees day care while we worked. I always felt bad leaving her @ the daycare when she was barely 2 years old. Sherry knew it was particularly hard for me to leave her but her comforting words and reassurance may it a whole lot easier. Knowing Sherri was there and Dana was well taken care of and even looked forward to going, made all of us feel better. I know she will continue to be an angel watching over children and her family. We want to express our deepest sympathy and let you know our thoughts are with you all. In deep appreciation and gratitude for having your Mom come into our lives when we most needed it! - Posted by: The DeBoer Family (Friends) on: Jan 03, 2015

  • Sherrie was that special kind of person that listened with her heart to what you had to say. I couldn't wait to see her in my day to share things that were happening. She would share both laughter and advice if I needed it, and on rare occasions a kick in the pants if I needed that too. I feel truly blessed to have been able to spend time with Sherrie. She brings out the best in everyone. Sherrie spoke with such love when she talked of her children, and grandchildren. She was proud of jobs that they did, the sports some played whether it was hockey or softball. But most of all she was proud of the people they have become and the love that they share. Sherrie I couldn't love you more. - Posted by: Dawn (Friend) on: Jan 03, 2015
