May you Rest in Peace, Mr Lussier. He was my teacher from my Grade 1 year to the end of my 5th year (1955-1961) at the Ste. Elizabeth School. I used to watch how Mr Lussier prepared for the next day's schedule, while I cleaned chalk brushes. He wrote notes on the blackboard for a couple of the grades; it was a Grade 1-8 schoolroom. I was impressed by his planning for each grade. He'd make notes in his 'day planner' as he checked the textbooks for each grade. By grade 2 I was determined to be a teacher! I was! I started at Kleefeld (1969), taught in BC and AB, then to Winnipeg, and got a couple of degrees along the way. Raising a family and moving from place to place kept me busy, too. I retired from the WPG School Division in 2011. Now, I just have to say 'thank you, Mr Lussier, for inspiring me to become a teacher and share my life with hundreds of children and some great colleagues. I send my condolences to his family and friends. Sincerely, Bonnie (Jorgenson) - Posted by: Bonnie Clement (formerly Dyck; nee Jorgenson) (former student) on: Mar 25, 2015
