SOPHIE GOLEMBIOSKI (nee LUCHKA) May 8, 1922 December 27, 2014 It is with sadness we announce the passing of Sophie on December 27, 2014 at the Beausejour Hospital at the age of 92 years. Sophie will be sadly missed by her children, Ed (Jean), Judy (Rod), Dennis (Christine) and Brian (Kate), grandchildren Gary (Lisa), Karen (Zoel), Jamie, Jason, Glen (Melissa), Wayne (Crystal), Cheryl (Brian), Marek and Walker, great grandchildren Caitlyn (Curtis), Louis, Shaya, Celeste and Devon. She is also survived by her sister Kay Sontag. She was predeceased by her husband John of 46 years, her parents Anthony (Tony) and Annie Luchka, sisters Tekla (Albert) and Mary (Bill). Sophie worked for various market gardeners. After raising her family she went to work at Birds Hill Park until her retirement in 1987. Funeral service will be held on Friday, January 2, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Michael's Roman Catholic Church in Cooks Creek with Father Joseph Tran presiding. Interment will follow at the parish cemetery. Her pallbearers will be Gary, Louis, Jamie, Jason, Glen and Wayne. The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to Dr. R. R. Lindenschmidt, and the staff at Selkirk and Beausejour Hospitals for their kind and compassionate care.
