ANGELINA KEAM (nee PARADIS) With great sadness we announce that Angelina Keam passed away peacefully in her sleep on the morning of December 31, 2014. She was predeceased by her husband George, her son Wayne, her parents and seven of her brothers. She is survived by her children Victor (Geraldine), Eileen (Ralph), Reg (Janice), Patricia (Ray), Robert, and Dorothy (Marcello), 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family members. Lena was born June 6, 1923 in Dunrea, MB, the second daughter of 14 children born to Jean-Baptiste and Mary Paradis. Growing up in Ste. Anne, MB, Lena met her husband George and after they married, they settled on his family homestead in Lorette, MB where they remained until they retired and moved to Winnipeg in 1986. Lena was a hard worker, far ahead of her generation, she held many jobs outside of the home, including the Salisbury House on Kennedy Street, Perth's Dry Cleaners and the International Inn where she met the Irish Rovers in 1968. Lena was quick-witted, outgoing and lived for family Sunday dinners at the farm where the canasta tournament always lasted well into the wee hours. She was our domestic diva, executive chef and baker. She had many friends, but nothing made her happier than taking care of her family. A small service is being held on Sunday, January 4, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at the Wheeler Funeral Home, 1800 Day Street, Transcona. Interment to take place at a later date. Special thanks to River East Personal Care Home for taking care of her during her final months. I love you'se all, you good people.
